FUNDING ELIGIBILITY The Maine Women’s Fund makes grants to programs that advance economic security for women (of all ages) and girls in Maine. Eligibility is limited to nonprofit organizations or groups that demonstrate tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Service Code Section 501(c)(3), are tax exempt 7871 federally recognized tribal organizations, or groups that submit an application through a fiscal sponsor.

Maine Women’s Policy Center releases “Building a Prosperous Maine: A Roadmap to Economic Security for Women and Their Families”

PORTLAND, Maine.—The Maine Women’s Fund, the only Maine foundation focused exclusively on advancing economic security for women and girls, received a $15,000 grant from the Quimby Family Foundation to support the creation of dynamic new communications material, including four filmed vignettes, documentary interviews and a new streamlined website. The Quimby Family Foundation was formed in 2004 by Roxanne Quimby.
