A Maine Women’s Network Event – March 2

Maine Women’s Network Announces March Meeting

CAMDEN, ME:  On Wednesday, March 2, The Midcoast Chapter of Maine Women’s Network will host guest speaker Sarah Ruef-Lindquist, Chief Executive Officer of the Maine Women’s Fund who will present “Women in Maine, State of the State.”  Sarah works at the forefront of women's issues in Maine and will offer her thoughts and information on a variety of topics facing women and girls around the state.  There will be time for questions and discussion as well.

Sarah joined the Maine Women's Fund in April 2012.  As the only Maine foundation focused exclusively on advancing women’s and girl’s economic security, the Maine Women’s Fund works to transform the lives of Maine women and girls through strategic grant making, community engagement and support to nonprofit organizations dedicated to social change.  Her previous work has provided extensive experience in fundraising, grant making, and building organizations' fiscal efficiency.  Sarah practiced law before becoming vice president for Southern Maine at the Maine Community Foundation, where she established relationships and worked with donors, community leaders, and non-profit organizations throughout the state. She lives in Camden with her husband, Peter.

The meeting will take place at Eclipse Restaurant in Rockland starting at 5:15 pm and wrapping up at 7:30pm with plenty of time for networking.  The cost of the meeting, which includes full buffet and dessert, is $25 for members and $30 for guests of members and/or non-members. Guests and non-members are always welcome. Members and non-members are asked to register online by Friday, February 26 by 5pm at www.mainewomensnetwork.com

This event is sponsored by Allen Insurance and Financial.
