Maine Women's Fund Moves to Falmouth
FALMOUTH, Maine. September 12, 2014—The Maine Women’s Fund, the only Maine foundation focused exclusively on advancing economic security for women and girls, has moved its Southern Maine offices from downtown Portland to Falmouth. The new offices are located in The Lunt Professional Building, the former Lunt School. The two-story brick building has been redeveloped as medical and professional office space.
“This move is going to make the Maine Women’s Fund place of work more accessible for our dedicated volunteers and staff. Moreover, the organization’s new home is still close to downtown Portland so that staff can still easily attend meetings hosted by our generous corporate sponsors on the peninsula. We look forward to joining the Falmouth and OceanView community,” said Melinda Shain, president of the Maine Women’s Fund board of directors.
In addition to The Lunt Professional Building, OceanView offers independent living for seniors, assisted living, memory care, as well as the Southern Maine Agency on Aging’s Stewart (Adult Day) Center.
“OceanView at Falmouth is celebrating its thirtieth year of operation, and is very pleased in its most recent campus expansion, to welcome the Maine Women’s Fund to its newly renovated Professional Building. The mission of the Maine Women’s Fund compliments the mission of OceanView,” said John Wasileski, Owner of OceanView at Falmouth. “We look forward to many years of cooperation with the Maine Women’s Fund as they serve the greater Maine community, and we wish them continued success in this new location.”
