Bangor
The Bangor Advisory Council of the Maine Women’s Fund invites you to join us at our upcoming Women’s Leadership Series and help create longlasting change for women and girls in our communities.
Women’s Leadership Series: Stepping Up, Standing Out, Staying In
March 4 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
Bangor Public Library
The trend is clear: women are leaving companies as fast as they can. Tired of subtle (and not so subtle) cultural messages suggesting women leaders “fit in,” many women have opted out - and not for lack of ambition or desire to work. The other trend? Women represent the fastest and biggest growing sector of the entrepreneurial sector. The bottom line is that women are stepping up to get the job done and standing out on their own terms - and in the process are creating a workplace revolution.
Join us to discuss how women are stepping up, standing out, and staying in leadership roles. Join us, bring your friends and colleagues. These brown bag lunch events are free and open to the public.

Women’s Leadership Series: Shaping the Agenda
May 6 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
Bangor Public Library
Today there is a clear call for more women leaders to aspire to positions of authority – those roles that would have them shaping the agenda, creating the culture and moving organizations forward faster with innovative solutions and yielding higher returns on talent and investments. Join us to discuss what it means for women stepping into these roles, and how it serves the advancement of women and business. Bring your friends and colleagues. The event is free and open to the public.
